On the Hunt for Strangeness
Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator FacilityPeter Hurck has been searching for strange particles, named such because they contain strange quarks, since beginning work on his Ph.D. As the 2023 Jefferson Science Associates (JSA) Postdoctoral Prize winner, he’ll continue conducting data analyses to identify strange particles and learn about their properties at Jefferson Lab.
